Patterns tend to reoccur in nature at micro and macro scales. The cover of this book is risograph printed from a marbled paper and has a ‘lens’ cut into it, mimicking the view seen through a microscope. The marbled design was made by scattering ink into a tray of water and blowing on it to make the water flow. A piece of paper was then lowered into the water’s surface to take the print, recording the pattern made by the ink at that moment in time. The images inside were all taken from old reference books found in the library.
